Aloha #Wedding in Redondo Beach Gets Interrupted By Planes And A Loud Band Nearby

Fred and Denise got married at the Crowne Plaza in Redondo Beach. The coordinator there, Sheree, was awesome! We did a modified Hawaiian style ceremony where they presented their parents with some fresh flower lei’s from Hawaii. He wore a long string of maile and I wore my kukui nut and shell necklace. At the beginning of the ceremony, a plane was flying over us. So I told everyone that I hired that plane to represent the heights their marriage would reach. The flowers were done by my good friend, Debi from Oops A Daisy, and the photographers were Sal and Lana from Caught In The Moment Photography. So it was definitely the wedding A-Team there. Throughout the ceremony, across the street, a live band was playing. (They were supposed to have ended prior to the ceremony starting.) So I told everyone I had hired this band to play background music during the ceremony. However, at the end of the sand ceremony and during my final comments, the band was playing “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling”. Not the best song to be played at the conclusion of a wedding ceremony, so I added it to my closing comments and requested that the two of them never lose that loving feeling. The guests chuckled. It was a great day overlooking the beach and the two of them were very happy together.
